I am a nervous patient, what can you do for me?

Our dentist in Nailsea is very concerned with making sure all of our patients feel safe, comfortable and secure from the second they enter our practice. Being a nervous patient is completely normal and you should never feel self-conscious about letting us know of this. When you’re feeling anxious, our dentist in Nailsea will want to relax you before proceeding, regardless. For those who need it, we can use mild ‘gas and air’ sedation. In cases where a deeper dose of sedation is required, we offer an intravenous valium type drug. With both options you will remain awake while feeling completely relaxed, allowing the treatment to take place. We want you to be as free from worry as possible.

How can you help with stained teeth?

Over time, it is completely normal and almost expected for our teeth to become stained or at least discoloured. Discolouration can happen purely because of age, or even because of the things we’re eating and drinking. Coffee and dark fruits are often the main culprits in these situations. If you’re self-conscious about the colour of your teeth, though, we can help with our teeth whitening options! If you decide to whiten your teeth in our practice, we will assess the staining before making customised trays for your teeth. The whitening process is activated by a bleaching agent which is placed into the trays before they’re fitted onto your teeth.

Can I whiten my teeth at home?

Yes! We also offer teeth whitening options to use at home, but this will result in a more gradual change of colour. We will send you home with all the information you need to get your bright, white smile. You will be provided with trays and a bleaching agent that are to be worn overnight. It is important to note that the results may vary from person to person.

My teeth are crooked, can you help me?

Of course we can. We’d like to take this opportunity to say that no matter how your teeth are misaligned we have, amongst other methods, Invisalign treatment that may be able to help. This means that if they’re crooked, overcrowded, have gaps or an underbite, you should always ask us to see if this treatment will work for you, as it very well could. Invisalign is a clear aligner alternative to traditional braces, that will help to subtly move your teeth into their desired positions. The aligners are completely removable, which means you can keep on top of your dental hygiene, as well as removing any food or debris that may get stuck on them.
